I miss my rats! Surely there is a short comic in here somewhere. They had such cute little names too. And ears. And feet. Obviously I need to get some sort of pet to brighten up this apartment.

Although Prometheus had gaping plot holes and a not so awesome script, I love Shaw. Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender were both wonderful.

Avengers watercolors help me cope with my adoration of this movie and all the characters within it. I especially love Natasha and Clint's relationship; they have such a wonderful bond.

My feelings for The Avengers have shown no signs of subsiding. I think this might be permanent. Not that it’s a bad thing! It’s like Harry Potter all over again, but with kick-ass instead of magic. And then there’s Loki. Let’s not even breach the topic of my love for this character. We’d be here all day as I dish out my philosophical/literary analysis of him.

 And I think he makes a lovely frost giant, despite what he thinks.

I hope all will be well. We must be patient: but I
cannot choose but weep, to think they should lay him
i' the cold ground. My brother shall know of it:
and so I thank you for your good counsel. Come, my
coach! Good night, ladies; good night, sweet ladies;
good night, good night.

The theme of my summer appears to be Shakespeare! Isn't it timely that archaeologists recently uncovered the Curtain Theatre?

Ophelia in a late Edwardian-Style dress. Although women had not yet started to cut their hair short at this point (circa WWI), I liked her with shorter hair.

I’m in the process of designing some props and costumes (and maybe some scenery?) for a version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth set in the Victorian Era. This isn’t actually for anything,  although I wish someone would make a version of Macbeth set in the 1870’s.
I feel like Lady Macbeth would have some pretty menacing home furnishings, the kind of chairs that would scare you when you were little, and that nobody really wants to take home after the funeral.

I had a hell of a time making teapots look anything other than fat and cheery. These are still sort of happy I suppose, or maybe that’s jut my teapot affinity. ‘Ponderous’ wasn’t working out, since things that are squat and bottom-heavy just look cute, so I modeled these after funeral urns instead.

I drew this lady on the bus on the way to work, and decided to color her later.

Someday I'll start updating this thing more regularly!

The Fantastic Mary Jane inspired me with all her exciting stories about going to Ringling, so I started practicing composition again.

The top two compositions are based off of animation stills from Beauty and the Beast, and the bottom six are based off of photographs taken in France and Scotland.
